Today’s emotional climate:

Parents and educators are noticing more than ever the load children and teens carry with them. It can look like frequent tantrums, angry fits, anxiety, trouble sleeping, stomach aches, frequently turning to unhealthy habits, nervousness, apprehension to try new things, and the list goes on.

Most of these behaviors are age-appropriate when seen periodically, but when they’re extreme and seen in excess, it can hinder the child’s well being and feel hard on the environment of the home.

Luckily, we can teach children and teens tools to keep stress and anxiety at a healthy level.

Raising self-assured, kind kids starts with a foundation of emotional intelligence.

Emotional intelligence is a skill we can learn at all ages. With a consistent foundation, it's easy to integrate and practice.

Through this work, we can help kids to manage stress, communicate effectively, and overcome challenges that arise.

The following are resources to help you build a home and family with increased peace, problem solving, and emotional resilience.

I can help!

Rest assured, the atmosphere of the home and family can turn to more peace and connection. There are tools that will bring added communication, problem solving, and emotional resilience to the family.

After working with a variety of parents and children, and in talking to neighbors and friends dealing with similar issues, I wanted to supply families with an at-home lesson plan to build a foundation of emotional intelligence in the family.

The concepts are breakthroughs even for adults, but are simple and effective. As the family builds emotional vocabulary, awareness, and then balance, problem solving feels easier, communication comes naturally, and connection is innate.

To learn more and purchase the 6-week lesson plan for “Talking About Emotions with Kids,” click the below link. The lessons require no-prep and are about 30 minutes each week. Keep in mind that I frequently do free, live virtual webinars on this exact topic and would love for you to attend (see more info on this below).
